Orechovský Stream Alluvial Park

Just a few minutes from the historic centre of Trenčín, you will find the Orechovský Stream Alluvial Park. It is a natural park ideal for walks, outdoor activities, and relaxation by the Váh River.

Flower-filled meadows and natural corners create a peaceful space where everyone can find their favourite spot. You can spread out a blanket on the grass, read a book, watch the river, or simply enjoy the calm of nature just a few steps from the city centre.

A Place for Active Relaxation

The alluvial park offers activities for visitors of all ages. There is a children’s playground with a shaded sandbox and jumping platforms. You can also find a workout zone with climbing walls and parkour elements. The park also includes a pétanque court.

Visitors can use the designated area for campfires and barbecues. There are also several relaxing spots with views of Trenčín Castle.

Discover Nature with All Your Senses

The park features educational panels about life in a floodplain forest. It also includes art pavilions from the project Úniky v priestore by the Woven collective. Their organic shapes are inspired by river mussels. The pavilions naturally blend into the landscape and connect nature with contemporary art.

One of the most valuable parts of the area is a preserved section of floodplain forest between the old and new railway bridges. A discreet gravel path leads through it. Visitors can explore this unique natural environment while respecting its original character.

How to Get Here

The Orechovský Stream Alluvial Park is easily accessible from the new footbridge over the Orechovský Stream. The bridge connects the park with the Váh Cycling Route. You can also reach the park from Vlárska Street.

We hope you will find your favourite place in the Orechovský Stream Alluvial Park. It is a place you will enjoy returning to.
