Public restrooms
Public restrooms are located on Sládkovičová street near Mierové námestie (Square). Starting at the square you walk underneath the City Tower and continue for 50 meters, with the underground restrooms on the left. Archaeological discoveries were revealed during construction works for the restrooms. Parts of a Barbican and underground supply tunnels can be seen on the site.
Parking
When you arrive to Trenčín by car, the nearest parking lot and parking house are located on Palackého street. Other parking lots are located on Mládežnícia street, Rozmarínová street or free of charge parking near City Swimming Pool (Mestská plaváreň). Coach buses can park for 15 minutes (for boarding and unboarding) at the following parking lots: Palackého street – Pension Panorama, Retro Restaurant. Exchange
Foreign currencies can be exchanged in one of three exchange offices. Their addresses and opening hours can be found in the article on our website titled Exhange. Foreing currencies may also be exchanged at every bank in the town.

Opening hours
Majority of businesses in the city centre are open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 or 6.00 p.m. during business days. Opening hours on Saturdays are usually from 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. Or from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Shops are closed on Sundays. Shopping centres Laugaricio and MAX are open daily from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. Shooping centre Južanka is open daily from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
All shops and businesses are closed on public holidays: 1 January, 6 January, Good Friday, Easter Monday, 1 May, 8 May, 5 July, 29 August, 1 September, 15 September, 1 November, 17 November, 24 December, 25 December and 26 December.
Post office
If you want to send a postcard from Trenčín to your friends and relatives, postage stamps are available at post offices only. Pošta 1 – the post office in the city centre is located directly on the square (Mierové námestie) near the Plague Pillar (Morový stĺp). Opening hourse are Monday – Friday: 7.00 a. m. – 7.00 p. m. Saturday: 7.00 a. m. – 11. a. m.
